About Dr. Forbes

Julianne Forbes, N. D. attended the State University of New York at Oneonta where she studied Chemistry and Business Economics, and the University of New Hampshire where she obtained an MBA. She received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from National College of Portland, Oregon and also attended the New England School of Homeopathy. Dr. Forbes is a member of the Maine Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Dr. Forbes often teaches classes and workshops on Naturopathy and Homeopathy.

SERVICES

As a Naturopathic Physician I perform physical examinations, laboratory testing, gynecological exams, nutritional and dietary assessments, metabolic analysis and as a referring physician order radiological studies through local hospitals. Homeopathy is my main treatment modality supported by Hydrotherapy, Clinical Nutrition, and Botanical Medicine. Counseling and Stress Management are important elements in the healing process since mental and emotional states can be important factors in healing illnesses.

Acute and chronic illnesses can be treated very successfully with homeopathy and other naturopathic modalities including asthma, allergies, strep throat, candida, cancer, hypertension, ear infections, depression, anxiety, heart disease and many other common ailments that limit peoples lives.

I provide diagnostic and procedure codes on service summary forms for submission to individual insurance companies upon request.

The Office Hours for each day as follows and may be subject to change: Tues 8:30-4:30, Wed 8:30-3:30, Thurs 9-3:30

Appointments are made by phone only by calling 207-647-9423.

PAYMENTS

Payment is expected at time of service for all patients. Patients should contact their insurers to inquire about their coverage, deductibles, and yearly payment maximums. Patients are ultimately responsible for payment of their charges. Dr. Forbes will provide appropriate diagnostic codes and procedure codes for Insurance submission. Prescribed supplements are not covered, as they are not considered Pharmaceutical” by insurance companies.

PHONE CALLS

Everyone’s call is important to us, but the hours in a day are limited. Calls or messages are returned in a “triage” (medical urgency) fashion, so be sure to leave a clear message regarding the reason for your call, your phone number and your status. You can always leave a message.

Calls for clarification of instructions given in association with a visit are not billed.

Calls for complaints not addressed at previous visits require an office visit or consultation, as does follow up treatment. There is a charge for a phone calls over 5 - 10 minutes or if it is a consult on a new condition.

Contact your nearest emergency facility for this, or dial 911. I can provide support to quicken the healing process and alleviate pain. I work as specialists in natural therapy, along with allopathic treatment as well.

SPECIAL INFORMATION

As a classical homeopath I am particularly interested in the treatment of children and their parents as early in their lives as possible to effect the best possible advantage for balance and health. An avid swimmer and polio survivor, I am a proponent of water exercise therapeutically and aerobically. I am also a lucky mother of a beautiful adopted Chinese daughter.
